Who am I?
My name is Delphine DEROBERT MASURE.
I was born in 1973 in Pas-de-Calais.
I lived in Paris, in the Oise region and in China, before returning to France, near Compiègne.

My story
From a very young age, I was fascinated by the paintings and statues in the church where I went on Sundays with my mother. I observed every detail, tracked the brushstrokes, marveling at the light that painters knew how to reveal.
Around the age of 12 or 13, I dreamed of theater and of being able go to "Beaux Arts". Dad was a miner, Mom worked on a farm, and this kind of future prospect was completely out of the question. An aunt, however, had tried to dissuade them, but I couldn't.
So, I followed a different educational and then professional path, but I still had this dormant artistic side within me, just waiting to be reborn.
Self-taught, I really started painting in 2005. My friend Nathalie encouraged me to "unleash" this desire, so I dared to create my first "real" canvas. It was a revelation. I experimented with abstract art, playing with black, white, shadows and light.
Life took me away from my brushes, but the desire to paint remained. This passion was rekindled in 2019 with a new intensity. After some research around themes such as oxidation, I found an anchor in aerial photographs : seen from the sky, nature opened up a language where reality and imagination meet.
Today, it's in this space between the figurative and abstract that I'm forging my artistic path.
I invite you to discover my canvases, where realism and abstraction meet, where color becomes language.
Enjoy !!!
