Salt marshes of France and elsewhere.
Inspired by aerial photographs by Tom HEGEN
This series was born from a dialogue with the striking photographs of Tom Hegen, who offered me the freedom to transform them into another form of language: that of painting.
I found it a fascinating area for exploration, where the marshes reveal themselves in a different light. Seen from the sky, the land becomes color, abstraction, vibration.
Through the canvases, I flew, I traveled. Lines blurred , forms revealed themselves, contrasts surprised me. In this suspended vision, like that of a bird or the Divine, the salt marshes are revealed as a landscape both familiar and completely pristine.

Why salt marshes?
This series is the result of a natural progression in my work. After the trip to French Polynesia, I wanted to continue figurative art, but I missed abstract art - that of my beginnings and the "OXY" series.
I wanted new colours, bolder geometries, different heights.
When I discovered Tom HEGEN's striking photographs, it was obvious: I was won over.
Here are 6 paintings. The entire series can be seen in the gallery.
For those who would like to extend their trip at home,
I am available for any further information.
